How many chromosomes do Leopards have?

All cats have 19 pairs of chromosomes (haploid), this includes the two  sex chromosomes. These sex cells are the same ones that is used for human X and Y. The haploid number is the number  of the pairs in body cells, somatic cells, or the single number of chromosomes in the gamete. What is a gamete? All a gamate is is the scientific name for the sex cells X and Y.

What is Interbreeeding?

Inbreeding is a continual breeding of breeding  of individuals with similar characteristics.Inbreeding is used to help ensure that the characteristics that make each breed conserved. There is a bad side of inbreeding too, there is a chance that a cross between two people or animals will bring together two recessive alleles which would cause a genetic defect. Interbreeding weakens the gene pool. I do not think that we should interbreed because yes it has a good side... but look at the bad side it can change a person or animal's life as long as they live!!! Would you like to go around with a dog with like joint deformities, or a blind dog all because you inbreeded? You just messed that animal's life up, and it was not necessary! Female lions (or Leopards, they are int the same family) tend to live together in a pride with aunts, mothers, daughters, sisters, half-sisters. On the other hand males are also related they live with brothers, half- brothers, fathers, uncles in their own little pride. Occaisionaly interbreeeding in big cats does happen with brother and sister, or parent and offspring but so rarely that the gene pool can cope easily.
